Since I've yet to fully complete any of my in-progress renders of other NES games, I went back to my old fall back crutch of Super Mario Bros. I hadn't made an underworld scene before, so I spent a few days throwing this together.

I wanted to submit something new this month, even if it meant going back to the old SMB well yet again. This render may not be as busy or as epic as [link] , but it does boast 100% accuracy to the level depicted.

I have a few variations that I'll be posting in the coming days. A neon-effect piece and ones with different 'cave lighting' effects, since this is a subterranean level.

it's kinda hard to tell...do you use a 3D program, or do you build your 3D models from Lego pieces?
